Díi xáat k'ínats dluu aadáang.
In the summertime, my father does seine fishing.

'Wáagyaan, k'íntl'eihls dluu háns hal xáwgang.
In the springtime he goes trolling.

Ahljíi gúust uu íitl' hal gín xínangaagang.
That is how he supports us.

Chíinaay t'íits awáa láangaa hiláadaang.
Mother smokes some of the fish.

Chíin xiláa díi guláagang.
I like smoked fish.

Cháanuutgaas dluu sk'ak kwáan díi xáat isdáas gyaan, awáa xiláadaang, sángyaas k'yuu.
My father gets a lot of dog salmon in the fall, and mother smokes the fish for wintertime.

Ahljíihl uu táawaay íitl'aa kwáan-gang.
That is why we have a lot of food.

Gám íitl' k'ut-'ángsaang.
We will not go hungry.
